My third great-grandmother
was Hannah Carrigan, born between 1815 and 1819 in Ohio. She married Daniel Benjamin Clark in about
1836[1]
and by 1850, they had eight children.[2] She died young I would say, at age 35, leaving
a husband to care for several small children.
Daniel actually remarried and had several more children but that’s
another story.

The information I have about
Hannah so far came from two resources:
the 1850 U.S. Federal Census for Adams County, Ohio and her memorial on Find-a-Grave.com. [3] I organized the data from each resource into
a table (below) for comparison and development of future research.

My continued research will be
centered in southwestern Ohio. Many members
of my Clark family were life-long residents of Adams County, Ohio. Others ventured to nearby Warren, Clinton and
Highland counties, all in southwestern Ohio.
